Our friends at Outback Communities Authority are supporting First Nations circus group Na Djinang for a tour of the region next month.

During June, Na Djinang will visit Port Augusta, Copley, Marree, Oodnadatta, Coober Pedy and Andamooka, offering free performances that are open to all the community, as well as running workshops for school children.

Na Dijnang will perform its renowned work 'Arterial', an invigorating and moving performance that celebrates what it means to be First People — the lifeblood of this country.

All performances are free, although some require pre-registration.

The Andamooka Observatory has been included in the Australian Opal Centre’s 2026 Australian Opal Tour itinerary!✈️ The Australian Opal Centre’s 9-day charter flight adventure returns on 22 September 2026, visiting some of Australia’s most iconic opal fields, and this time, Andamooka is on the itinerary.

The tour will land at the new Andamooka Airport (YAMK), which was officially opened in January 2026 and has been operational for RFDS since June 2025. Designed for serious opal enthusiasts, collectors, gemmologists, and adventurers, this tour brings national and international attention straight to our doorstep.
