17th Annual - Warrnambool Invitation Shoot

Military Rifle and Classic .303 Shoot

There will be a VRA 300yd and 500yd competition occurring alongside the Military Rifle and Classic .303 Shoot. Same as last year. This competition concludes the 22/23 Festival of Shooting.
8:30 am Start
Those arriving late from Melbourne will be accommodated and placed into later details.
Match 1 - Rapid
300 yd Shoot -2 sighters followed by 10 rounds Rapid-fire to count in time of 50 seconds
Match 2 - Snap
300 yd Shoot- 10 rounds traditional military Double-Tap Snap, 6 second target exposure
Match 3 - Deliberate
500 yd Shoot 3 Sighters followed by 10 rounds to count in 10 minutes
Match 4 – Optical Deliberate
500 yd Shoot- 2 sighters followed by 10 rounds to count in time limit of 4 minutes (Time permitting)
A 600yd target used at both ranges for all events
Qualifying Rifles
Matches 1-3 include either Standard B Class rifle (military as-issued, any country of origin) or Classic .303 Range Rifle (Aperture sights)
Match 4 is only for F1, F2 or Tactical Development rifles. Max 2 per person.
F1 Class- As- issued scoped military made up to 1946 (or faithful repro)
F2 Class- As-issued scoped military made up to 1990 (or faithful repro)
Tactical Development- scoped special built tactical, military caliber (not Benchrest)
Competition Fees $40 Saturday, $20 Friday Practice.
Drinks and Meals available for purchase at Range canteen during the day.
From 1pm
Friday Night 2 course BBQ Tea from 7pm $12.00
TRASH and TREASURE SATURDAY NIGHT finish of shooting (5pm approx. to 7pm) inside clubhouse.NO ALCOHOL to be consumed during this period. Buy and sell your unwanted items.
Saturday evening a Spit Roast is available for $40 followed by presentations to the winners and some raffles.
This is a very enjoyable part of the day to have a get together with friends, a drink and dine in the comfort of the absolutely huge modern Club house facility on the range.
An Open invitation from Warrnambool is to stay overnight if you wish in this Clubhouse which is fully equipped with internal toilets and shower facilities. Powered site $15.00 per day unpowered $6.00.

VRA –MRC Warrnambool Competition
Friday 6th January 2021 Setup and practice from 1pm
Saturday 7th Competition 8.30 am start.
Sunday 8th pack up and head for a home.
If you have not had the pleasure of attending this event it is well worth the trip.
It is an opportunity to shoot on a 20 target butted range from a grassed shooting line.
Very comfortable.
Their club house is one that most clubs can only dream of.
One very large section includes a full commercial kitchen, office and indoors male and female toilets with showers plus a vast open area with table and chairs.
The other section is for storage, bow range and .22 rifle indoor 25 m ranges.
A range of accommodation options are available for those who wish to arrive Friday, set up, practise and avoid an early drive down on Saturday.
The range is open around noon Friday for early arrivals or earlier by arrangement with Arna .
Accommodation Options
1. Local Motel, B&Bs, Caravan Parks
2. Park your caravan or put up your tent or swag on the large grassed area alongside the club house.
3. Set up your swag or camp stretcher in the main clubhouse, storage area or under the verandah that
