Henley-on-Todd Regatta An iconic, dry river regatta in the heart of Australia. It’s a boat race - without water! There are a variety of events, with something for everyone.

After a two-year hiatus, the infamous Henley on Todd Regatta is back to celebrate the 60th Anniversary! The Regatta is a tongue-in-cheek, eclectic ‘boat’ race held each year on the dry, sandy bed of the Todd River in Alice Springs, Australia. It’s the only dry river boating Regatta in the world where attendees compete in Flinstone-style races holding makeshift boat frames. Participants are encourage to make their own boats and join in the grand parade festivities or watch the hilarity from the shades of the gum trees while helping raise funds for charity. This event is proudly delivered by Rotary Alice Springs with support from the Northern Territory Government, Alice Springs Town Council, Tourism Central Australia & Imparja Television.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who braved the weather, donned their raincoats and gumboots, and came out to spend the day with us at Henley on Todd. ❤️

You absolute legends proved that not even a little (okay… maybe a LOT) of rain can stop Alice Springs from having a good time!
