Presented by 8CCC Community Radio and Red Hot Arts, this practical session covers the essentials of technical preparation for live performance, including tech specs, rehearsals, sound checks and venue bump-ins. Free and open to all artists — whether you’re performing this year or not.

Part of the Artist Industry Workshop Series, helping artists build practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge.

Thanks to everyone who sent in DesFest applications! It’s looking like an exciting program already.

And if you haven’t already met our Creative Producer Kaye Pederson, then you soon will! We are proud to welcome Kaye on board for this year’s festival.

Kaye has been working in arts and education in Central Australia for 13 years. She has moved to us from a role as Performing Arts Tour Coordinator with Artback NT. She brings with her an enthusiasm for building connections that celebrate and grow our vibrant arts culture in Central Australia.

🔈 DesFest Applications have been extended until Wednesday 22 April. You have another couple of weeks to develop your idea and send it through!

🔈 We are also holding another Info Night next Thursday 16 April to help get you and your work on stage! We have a bunch more benefits and artist development opportunities this year so come and find out what’s on offer!
