Arc Infrastructure Aces star allrounder Clint Hinchcliffe has been named Albany Irrigation & Drilling Southern Smash Player of the Tournament.

Hinchcliffe topped the runs chart with 116 @ 58 and second in the bowling taking 8 wickets @ 7.38

Southern Scorpions have claimed the inaugural Southern Smash women’s title with a 2-1 win over Bunbury and Districts.

After falling to 3-3 in their pursuit of 99, the Scorpions successfully chased down the score seven down with three overs left.

Scorpions’ Emma Dolan scored 34 from 37 while Maddie Oakey took 3-3 from two overs for the Blue Swans.

Blue Swans’ Matilda Richings was named player of the tournament.

Former Melbourne Star and Southern Smash No.1 draft pick Clint Hinchliffe proved his worth after being named player of the tournament.

He topped the charts in runs scored with 116 at an average of 58 and came second in wickets taken with eight at 7.38.

The Retravision Warriors have posted the highest score in the history of the Southern Smash.

The Warriors belted 7-167 with Blair Walsh smashing 69 off 55 balls, including four fours and a six.

Fury’s Liam Want finished with their best figures of 3-28 from four overs.

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS 🏆

The Southern Scorpions are the inaugural Southern Scorpions women’s champions after winning the third and final game today.

The Scorpions were three wicket winners after chasing down 100 to win against Bunbury and Districts.

Congratulations to players from both teams for a terrific series.
