It’s National Volunteers Week!

A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer who has helped bring the Vegan Festival Adelaide to life over the years. 💚

From early morning setup crews to the smiling faces at gates, info booths, kids’ zone, cooking demos and beyond, this festival simply would not be what it is without our incredible vollies.

We’ve hosted international speakers, supported vegan businesses and charities, created unforgettable events, and watched this community grow year after year.

We don’t want to see that disappear.

Today is a reminder that love, protection and devotion to family are not uniquely human traits. Across the animal kingdom, mothers comfort, defend, teach and care deeply for their young, from birds building nests, to elephants guiding calves, to cows calling for their babies.

Veganism asks us to extend compassion beyond our own species and recognise the emotional lives of animals and the bonds they share with their families.

To all the human mums raising kind humans or animal children, and to the animal mothers whose love is so often unseen, we honour you today.
