THANK YOU! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today for the Sustaining Q***r Artistry Expo.

It was incredible to spend the day learning from such generous, knowledgeable and inspiring speakers, while connecting with artists, creatives and community members.

We hope you all walked away with new ideas, practical tools and meaningful connections, and we hope this is just the beginning of more opportunities like this in the future.

Thank you to Human Services SA for supporting this project, to Bfriend for hosting us, and to all of our speakers and attendees for helping make the day such a success 💖

On National Sorry Day, we remember and acknowledge the Stolen Generations and their families.

26 May 2026 marks 29 years since the Bringing Them Home report was tabled in the Australian Parliament in 1997, honouring the survivors of the Stolen Generations and acknowledging the ongoing impacts of forced child removal on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, and communities.

This year’s National Sorry Day theme, From Sorry to Action, reminds us that words alone are not enough. It reflects the ongoing call for governments, organisations, and communities to take meaningful, measurable action toward truth, justice, healing, and reconciliation within survivors’ lifetimes.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land.

Don’t miss Songs for Q***rs tonight 🌈

After being postponed during last year’s festival, we’re so incredibly glad to see this deeply important and heartfelt production take the stage.

Songs for Q***rs marks 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in South Australia, while also honouring the life, creativity and legacy of organiser Eric Kuhlmann, who sadly passed away last year.

More than just a performance, this is a celebration of q***r voices, storytelling and community, of resilience, heartbreak, pride and connection. Through music, memories and shared experiences, Songs for Q***rs is a beautiful reminder of the strength and joy that exists within our community, and the people who help shape it.

Don’t miss it 💖
