From humble beginnings in 1933 the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is now the largest & best pageant of its kind in the world... a magical free community event - fantasy & fairy floats, colourful characters, over 200 clowns, bands, dancers & more!

To the volunteers who help bring the magic to the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant each year – thank you ⭐️

From sunrise setup crews to float drivers, makeup artists, performers, support and every helping hand in between, the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant wouldn’t be the same without you.

For National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the incredible community of volunteers who give their time, energy and festive spirit to create one of South Australia’s most loved traditions.

Entries for the 2026 competition are open, and we are searching for a design that captures the 'Simple Pleasures of a South Australian Christmas.'
