fifoo - performing arts project
This project was initiated to form a platform and to create room for new artistic interactions of artist, audiences and the performing arts scene in Austria. The platform serves as a place, for artists with diverse cultural and social backgrounds, to share time and space and to give the opportunity for an international exchange. The curator, Kanako Sako, represents through her personal connection with Japan and Austria the center of a process, which supports the artists in both the range of pieces, their participants and all the way to the finalization of this festival. fifoo.program will be held twice a year (summer and winter) and focuses exclusively on contemporary stagecraft – dance, theatre, performance and live music – in their whole spectrum. In the course of the festival will be two programs, which will include four performances, altogether. International artists will perform either as groups, soloists or duets and will represent different kinds of contemporary art-forms. In addition, fifoo will involve young talents to this project and provide a performance venue within a professional framework to support an active exchange between art, culture, artists and recipients.
