Centered in Parc Couttet in the heart of Chamonix, the Alpine Village is the basecamp for four incredible days during the Academy weekend. Attend athlete-led workshops, catch world-class film premieres, sit in on thought-provoking talks, and take in the progressive sounds of an internationally renowned lineup of artists and DJs. Langdale, that’s a wrap.

The pads are packed, the gear is racked, and the ropes are coiled. From tying in with new friends to taking on new skills, the 2026 Arc’teryx Climb Academy Lake District has been unforgettable. Thank you for three days of community, connection, and mountain education in one of the UK’s premier climbing destinations.

From athlete-led talks to film screenings, workshops, and late-night dancing, Basecamp was always the place to be — a space that carried the energy of the Academy from morning coffee chats to packed evening events.

Whether you kept your gear in play through a free repair at our ReBIRD™ booth, dropped in on a screening, or attended a talk with our Arc’teryx athletes, Basecamp served as more than our base this weekend, it was the epicentre of the Climb Academy, and the perfect place to come together to share our love of the vertical world.

Steep climbs, rugged paths, and unpredictable weather conditions. This is the essence of fell running, and it requires both physical endurance and technical skill to take part.

In the ‘Advanced Fell Running’ clinic, expert guides pushed participants to their limits while providing expert coaching and insights on some of the Lake District’s most difficult terrain.

Nina Caprez () brought her unmatched experience on some of the world’s biggest walls to Langdale for a unique climbing workshop.

We built confidence on the sharp end while focusing on movement, decision making, gear judgement, all while Nina shared stories from her many bold ascents.

This year, joined in the Lake District to present a photography programme including an exhibition, zine, talks, and library of classic climbing books and mags.

Bringing together photographers whose work is shaped by climbing, be that through people, landscapes or communities exploring the experiences, stories, and culture that define it.

From the birthplace of British climbing on Napes Needle, to new boulders in Türkiye, tidal trad adventures in Pembroke, and the community storytelling of , the exhibition featured work from Sam Pratt (), Annie Nesta (), Andrea Cossu (), and Reiss Marcell Allen ().
