For this year’s edition at the , Flavourama Performatory takes place within the context of the current exhibition BASELITZ JETZT.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• For the Performatory on August 27, 2026, we are seeking street and club dancers (Hip Hop, House, Popping, Locking, Waacking, Voguing, Breaking, and related styles).
• Selected artists will take part in a performance walk at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg, bringing street and club dance into new artistic contexts.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
• Curator-led tour of the exhibition ‘Baselitz Jetzt’ as a source of inspiration.
• Participants are encouraged to explore fragility, limits, transformation, and artistic perspectives within institutional spaces.
• Each duo/trio will have three hours to create a 10-minute interdisciplinary performance.
• During this process, Flavourama’s artistic directors, & .livia__, will act as ‘outside eyes’, offering guidance on choreography and improvisation.
• The performances will take place during three performance walks in the evening within the exhibition, directly engaging with the selected artworks.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
• Each artist will receive a remuneration of 200€ for 3 short pop-up performances
• The event will be covered on our social media channels.
• Travel and accommodation costs cannot be covered by the festival
• Basic English is required
