BAREFOOT WORLD CUP is an international football tournament on the campus of the university of Graz. A team in this tournament consists of 4 players (unlimited extra-players ). The first tournament was organized in 2010 by Christoph Hofstätter and Thomas Leitner. The BAREFOOT WORLD CUP brings people together on campus; students and professors find themselves in a new context and play football again

st each others. All of them follow the basic principle of FAIR PLAY and NO SHOES. The internationality of the participants is another important feature. In the past years, many international teams took part. To list a few: Spain, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, United States, Sweden, Australia, Brazil and Vatican. The tournament always takes place on one day and we only have one pitch. The number of teams is therefore limited. Some places are reserved for international teams and the professors' team. The other places are mostly assigned by priority of the registration. COME, JOIN AND ENJOY BAREFOOT WORLD CUP!!!

After a painful break of two years, the football event of the year is back – we are looking forward to a day of football in a familiar atmosphere with old acquaintances and new starters at the Barefoot World Cup 2022.

Liebe Barfußkickerinnen und Barfußkicker,
in Anbetracht der derzeitigen Umstände müssen wir euch leider mitteilen, dass der Barefoot World Cup heuer nicht stattfinden wird. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf einen fantastischen Barefoot World Cup 2021 – bis dahin: bleibt’s g’sund!
