2023 FAI - F3A World Championship for Aerobatic Model Aircraft - CONFIRMED for Australia!!!!
Hi All,
As you may be aware, the CIAM Bureau had to postpone the Plenary Meeting of the FAI Aeromodelling Commission that was scheduled for 2 to 4 April 2020.One of the agenda for the meeting was an early bid by the APA and the MAAA to host the 2023 FAI F3A World Championship for Aerobatic Model Aircraft in Australia.
I am delighted to share with you all that the CIAM Bureau conducted some of the business of the postponed plenary meeting via email, teleconference and other digital means. It is with great pleasure; I can confirm that the MAAA and APA have been awarded the 2023 FAI F3A World Championship for Aerobatic Model Aircraft.
It is early days, and more information will be provided as it becomes available. It is intended to host the event in September 2023 (final dates yet to be confirmed). The proposed site is the Casino Private Airport in Casino NSW. The APA will be forming a subcommittee to coordinate the organisation of the event. The subcommittee chairman will be James McAllen.
Tyson Dodd the MAAA secretary, will be liaising with the Richmond Valley Council who are the owners of the venue. If you feel you can be of assistance with the organising of such an important event please contact James McAllen via email at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
