Minival is an event celebrating culture, established in 2012, the creators of Minival set out to recreate a new year’s day parade that not only depicted the different aspects of our culture in Antigua and Barbuda, but also all the different segments of our carnival. Seven days of carnival Pageantry, revelry, music and culture, all rolled into one day - a mini carnival so to speak. The idea is fe

ature the deep cultural aspects of our celebrations: the steel pan, Iron Band, the indigenous costumes, the moko jumbies, john bulls and the revelry. Minival draws thousands of spectators to the side-walks of the city to witness a unique display of culture that we have been missing for too long. Minival takes place on New Year’s day and has become the official New Year’s Day event of Antigua & Barbuda
