The magnificent 65-foot schooner Juno at the 2022 Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. She’s more than a beautiful yacht. With her long waterline, shapely forefoot, and powerful lines, she is a proven performer on the racecourse. Juno has collected ten class wins at the Classic Regatta and was First Overall in the Classics Class in 2008.

The 114-foot (LOA), steel-hulled schooner Aschanti IV at the 2026 Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. Aschanti figures prominently in the history of the Classic Regatta. A seed was planted in 1986 when three schooner captains were enjoying their customary sunset rum aboard Aschanti in Nelson’s Dockyard. Aschanti’s master, the irrepressible, Uli Pruesse suddenly banged his fist on the table in excitement setting the rum glasses jumping and declared that what Antigua needed was a Schooner Race! As the sun went down and glasses were filled yet again and the idea was brandished about in earnest. Tony Fincham, owner of the Antigua based ferro cement schooner New Freedom proposed that perhaps his annual Tall Ships Race to Guadeloupe could be built on. Kenny Coombs, captain of the restored New York 40 Vixen II thought schooners alone would be too limiting and it should be open to all traditional craft. By the end of the evening they had settled on the concept of a Classic Yacht Regatta to be held prior to Antigua Sailing Week in mid April.

ADIX, the stunning three masted, gaff-rigged schooner at the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. She measures 185 feet on deck with a beam of 28 feet and a draft of 16 feet. She weighs in at 370 tons and has a sail area of over 18,000 square feet.

The 52 foot Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter, Cornubia at the 2025 Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. She was built in 1911 at the J Slade & Sons yard in Polruan, Cornwall and featured in the 1990s BBC TV series ‘Island Race’.
