POSTPONEMENT

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts for the K-POPz show to happen this weekend, due to the current situation we have had to postpone the show until Saturday, 3 October at 3 PM.

All ticket purchasers should have received an email about this. Your tickets remain valid for the new show but if you’d like your money refunded, please see the email for the process for refunds.

Thank you for supporting Theatre by QE2 and live shows at the Theatre. We hope to see you back as soon as possible - when the current situation has stopped.

In the meantime, please keep safe.

Yesterday marked World Theatre Day, and while this post comes a bit late, it reflects on a unique experience. If you were like me, after the rain in Dubai, you spent the day identifying leaks in the roof and strategically placing towels and buckets to manage the "rain inside!"

In the meantime, we are planning for the rest of 2026 here in the UAE and across the GCC, as theatre life will eventually restart. The timeline for this remains uncertain, but once we emerge from this situation, we will be ready to celebrate this business we call show!

While we all wait in the UAE for the current situation to be sorted out (preferably sooner rather than later...) here's another fantastic letter from on YouTube - all about a very fast speeding ticket, oh... and a time machine.

Due to the current situation, our upcoming performances of Father Ted at Theatre by QE2 will be postponed and rescheduled to September.

While Father Dougal is extremely excited to see you (and promises he’s been practicing), we feel it’s best to press pause for now on the show.

Thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you back for a fantastic night of comedy very soon.

PS To keep the craic going, we are currently trying to arrange a Father Ted Quiz Night – for the Craggy Island Trophy (c/o Mrs. Doyle shopping at Daiso!) – the date and timings will be communicated very soon. Various members of the Father Ted cast will be asking the questions for you to be able to take the honour of being the “Champion Quizzer of Craggy Island!”
