We pour a lot into this weekend, but ultimately it is the people who come and run, hike, volunteer, support and share it with us who make the K2C Challenge what it is.

Two days of tough trails, big views, tired legs, mountain air, determined runners and hikers, rangers taking on the challenge, and a race village full of the kind of energy that makes this weekend so special.

There are so many moments from K2C that are hard to capture in a photograph. The nerves on the start line. The quiet grind on the mountain. The relief of coming home. The people beside you when things get hard. And that feeling, somewhere along the way, that you are part of something bigger than just a race.

Two days. Mariepskop Mountain. Lowveld bush. And the chance to experience the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Region on foot.

The Kruger2Canyon Challenge returns on 26 & 27 June 2027, with trail running and hiking options ranging from 20km to 70km across the weekend.

And if K2C has been sitting on your race wish-list, there’s a good reason to be ready when entries open: we’ll have a 48-hour opening special from 10am on 1 September.

Day 1 of the 2026 Kruger2Canyon Challenge took runners and hikers from Kampersrus up onto the forests, grasslands and fynbos of Mariepskop, through tough trails, big views and the kind of moments that stay in your legs for a while and in your memory forever.

This is just a taste.

The full 2026 event video will be released on Sunday, 19 July.

Thank you to every runner, hiker, ranger, supporter, partner and crew member who helped bring this epic weekend of story-sharing to life.
