2016 Kowie Carnival

2016 Kowie Carnival Kowie Carnival in memory of Engela Neethling. 2016 Kowie Portjiekos Championship in aid of Blake Squires. Great fun and prizes gauranteed! Thank you.

Blake Squires, was diagnosed with testicular cancer on the 1st June 2016. An immediate operation followed where his testicles were removed. Blake was scheduled for 18 weeks of intensive chemotherapy. The good news then, was that the doctors said he should make a full recovery. Sadly half way through the treatment and a few more tests, Blake was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer which has spread to his

lungs. The family have hit a critical patch and urgently need to raise funds for Blake's continued treatment, and general costs surrounding his treatment. His parents have sold off everything, lost their business and now stand to loose their farm at Rocky Ridge, Port Alfred. The What's On Sunshine Coast, in partnership with Round Table 177, Port Alfred Freemasons and a group of family and friends is working on an action plan which involves a series of events and donation drives to support the family in saving their farm, building up their morale and making
sure Blake can get to his scheduled treatments. Blake has a good medical aid, but it doesnt cover the traveling to PE or the loss of income due to Blake not being able to distribute the farm produce any more. We ask that every who has seen or felt the destruction caused to a family by cancer please support the drives and events being planned in aid of Blake Squires, to share these events on Facebook and to make a donation to his official fund.
