The One Mile circular course will be swum through two of Port Alfred's well-known landmarks, namely the Royal Alfred Marina and the tidal Kowie River.
The swim incorporates a wet start from alongside the Halyards Hotel, with the swimmers exiting the water at the slipway of the town's picturesque Small Boat Harbour.
This spectator friendly event also offers numerous viewpoints along the course.
Water safety for the swimmers is a priority and for this reason, NSRI will be present on the water for the duration of the swim, along with paddlers from the Kowie Paddling Club. A River Police Boat will direct water traffic on the day.
