Every year, the KTF Committee hosts a Dam Owners Braai as a small token of appreciation to thank the landowners who generously allow us to use their dams during the festival.
For the second consecutive year, we gathered at the beautiful Qambathi Mountain Lodge in Kamberg, where Nadia and her team once again put together a wonderful evening. Dam owners, committee members, sponsors, and the many people who help make KTF possible came together around the fire to share stories, catch up, and, of course, talk all things trout.
One of the highlights of the evening is always seeing so many past KTF Chairmen still actively involved, supporting and guiding the next generation. Their continued passion and commitment are a testament to what makes this festival so special.
Everyone involved should be incredibly proud of what has been achieved. For 29 years, anglers have travelled to the Kamberg Valley to fish its waters, creating memories, friendships, and traditions that have made the Kamberg Trout Festival one of South Africa’s most cherished fly-fishing events.
To Nadia and the team at Qambathi, thank you for your exceptional hospitality. The venue is absolutely stunning, the roaring fires created the perfect atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the drinks were enjoyed by all.
Thank you to every dam owner, volunteer, sponsor, committee member, and supporter who has played a part in this remarkable journey. Your continued support ensures that the spirit of KTF lives on for generation to come.
