Welcome to the decks, Buddy Vinchez Phetla!

Buddy’s journey began in 1999, with his love for sound evolving in 2003 when he moved to Pretoria and immersed himself in vinyl culture. A true 90s sound enthusiast, his sets fuse jazz, live elements, vocals, funk, disco, neo-soul, and blues, creating a mature and soulful deep house identity that moves spirit, body, and soul.

Throughout his tenure, Buddy has shared decks with Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Bubbles, Vibe Montez, Paledi, French Champeign, Corry Rascco, Scotch Flavio, Jazzman, Dratz Project and many more.

From House 22 and Horn Africa to Bar 9, Chicago Club, Urban Nights, and Soul Meets House, Buddy’s sound has travelled across Limpopo and beyond. Between 2008–2011, Buddy co-championed the Spiritual Deep House Sessions with Vibe Montez, the late Scotch Flavio, and Uncle Cblaster, helping advance South Africa’s deep house culture.

His motto? House music is a feeling - one that transcends the spirit, body, and soul.

We cannot wait to have him behind the decks.

Widely regarded as the “Godfather of House” in South Africa, DJ Christos is a legendary DJ, producer and cultural pioneer whose influence has helped shape the foundation of the country’s dance music scene for over three decades.

As one of the founding forces behind the iconic Kalawa label, Christos Katsaitis played a pivotal role in introducing and elevating some of South Africa’s most groundbreaking artists, including Boom Shaka, Lebo Mathosa, Shana and Black Coffee. Through both Kalawa and his own imprint, Katsaitis Music, he has remained at the forefront of the industry; championing innovation, talent and the evolution of house music culture.

A celebrated producer in his own right, Christos has worked on timeless classics including Boom Shaka’s Free, DJs At Work’s Hey DJ and Shana’s Uyangichomela. Alongside longtime collaborator Vinny Da Vinci as DJs At Work, the duo earned a SAMA Award for Best Dance Album in 1998, with Christos going on to collect multiple additional SAMA accolades throughout his career.

Beyond the studio and dancefloor, Christos has continuously invested in the growth of the local music ecosystem. From co-founding the influential Southern African Music Conference (SAMC) with the DJ’s Unite collective alongside Oskido, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Fresh and Greg Maloka, to launching Deep Soul Sensation (DSS) with Lady Sakhe in 2016 and curating the Dance Music Summit (DMS), his contribution extends far beyond performance.

His career has also seen him share stages with global house music icons including Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Ferrer and Mr. V, while his celebrated Urban Beat radio show with Vinny Da Vinci on Metro FM became an essential platform for deep dance music culture between 2010 and 2020.

More than 30 years into his journey, DJ Christos remains a defining force in house music, a visionary whose work continues to break boundaries, unite communities and preserve the spirit of dance culture across generations.

We cannot wait to have him behind the decks.

Supreme Socialist, the musical identity of Thuto SupremeSocialist Lelake, is a Johannesburg-based selector, curator and collector whose sound is deeply rooted in South Africa’s urban culture and jazz-informed heritage.

Originally from Kagiso in the West Rand and shaped by formative years in Soweto, his musical perspective is built on movement, listening and cultural exchange. Influenced early by jazz and hip-hop, Supreme Socialist developed a distinct language of sound centred around storytelling, groove and consciousness.

Before stepping behind the decks, the name Supreme Socialist was first cultivated through rap and poetry, a period that shaped his belief that music is both expressive and communal. While hip-hop was his first love, his curiosity led him deeper into dance music and sonic exploration.

His selections move effortlessly across Deep House, Broken Beat, Lounge, Nu-Jazz and Bossa Nova, genres chosen not by trend, but by feeling, texture and timelessness. A dedicated collector since the TDK cassette era, his journey through CDs eventually evolved into a lifelong devotion to vinyl, which remains central to his craft.

Since beginning his professional journey in 2005, he has become one of the founding members of Exclusive Joints, a movement committed to creating intentional listening spaces and preserving deep, soulful music culture.

Known for refined selections, seamless blending and emotionally resonant storytelling, Supreme Socialist approaches deejaying as more than performance.

For him, music is not just something to do, it is a spiritual practice.

We cannot wait to see him behind decks.

With 3 decades of deejaying under his belt, Pretoria brings us one of the most important figures on the South African Dance Music scene; Uncle Vinny!

Vinny Da Vinci has helped galvanize Deep Underground club culture in his various guises: as a partner in the power house House Afrika Records label empire, a compiler and executive producer of their top-selling compilations, a producer alongside his long time friend and partner, DJ Christos in the groundbreaking DJs At Work projects, once co-owner of the classic Pretoria nightclub Carnalit, a DJ on the leading edge of the underground house scene and a curator on Metro FM's The Urban Beat from April 2009 up to April 2021.

Raised in Pretoria (Atteridgeville & Mabopane townships), Vinny began collecting vinyl after watching his mentor, Atteridgeville’s DJ Correy, blend vinyl on a pair of Technics turntables at one of the first clubs in Mabopane, Ship Ahoy, in the late 80s. He got his break when the resident DJ from another club in Soshanguve, Cherrys, failed to pitch and he was asked to stand in. He impressed the owners immensely and immediately landed a residency, later quitting his day-job at a clothing store to become a full-time DJ.

Vinny has played across South Africa, the SADC region and even North Africa; and has wowed crowds annually in Ibiza, Spain since 2000 when he debuted at the legendary night club, Pacha, and his skills also secured him mini tours of Europe (Ibiza, Mallorca, London and Zurich).

With all his numerous accolades, it’s still as a DJ that Vinny Da Vinci is best known, and it’s an arena in which he’s amongst the top of the pile - revered for spinning a brand of individual house that’s simply fathoms deeper than the competition.

We cannot wait to see him behind decks.
