carries on until the early hours of the next morning and is always held at
Ficksburg Show grounds on the November month. Cherry Jazz Festival is part of the well known Cherry Festival which is
South Africa’s oldest crop festival, started way back in 1967. It is one of the largest annua

l events in the Eastern Free State and Ficksburg
has become a household name in South Africa due to its aggressive marketing
of the Cherry Festival. Since its inception exceptional benefits have been
realized by both the local community and the community outside Setsoto Municipality.
