Dear Friends and Family of the Durban North Community,
Imagine a day where laughter fills the air, where the joy and excitement of childhood come alive in every corner. Picture the smiles on the faces of children as they experience the thrill of games, the delight of new toys, and the warmth of a community coming together just for them.
This is the vision we have for The Durban North Community Kids Fun Day, and we need your help to make it a reality!
For 500 children in our community, aged 0-13 years, the opportunity to have a day of pure, unbridled fun is a rare and precious gift. Many of these kids face daily challenges that most of us can only imagine. This special day is our chance to show them that they are cherished, that their happiness matters, and that their community is here to support them.
Mark your calendars for the last weekend in November at the Briardene Sports Grounds! This will be a day packed with thrilling activities, from exciting games and lively entertainment to delicious meals and wonderful gifts. We are committed to creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration, where every child can forget their worries and just be kids.
But we can't do it alone. We are calling on schools, businesses, community groups, religious organizations, and generous individuals to join us in this heartwarming endeavour. Here are some of the ways you can help:
1. Presents & Stationery: Donate toys, books, school supplies, and other gifts to bring smiles to the children’s faces.
2. Food: Provide meals, snacks, and beverages to ensure every child has a hearty and enjoyable meal.
3. Tent & Party Setup: Help us set up tents, decorations, and other necessary equipment to create a festive atmosphere.
4. Entertainment: Volunteer your time or resources to organize games, performances, and activities that will keep the children entertained throughout the day.
5. Sponsorship: Offer financial support to cover various event expenses and make this day as special as possible.
We invite Schools, Businesses, Community Groups, Religious Organizations, and Individuals to come together and help create a Funtastic Fun Filled Kids Funday for underprivileged children in our community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy and inspiration of 2024 forging a foundation for an amazing 2025.
Together, we can turn this vision into reality. We can create a day filled with unforgettable moments and lasting memories. We can show these children that they are part of a community that cares deeply for them. Let’s come together with enthusiasm, passion, and a shared goal of spreading joy.
