Exotic Wheel and Tyre, a leading wholesaler of tyres and wheels in South Africa, seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing and motivating an internal and external sales team, analyzing the market and competition, and growing the customer base across various channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies to drive sales growth in untapped markets.
- Lead sales meetings to review targets, set future sales goals, and provide guidance to the sales team.
- Forecast monthly sales and monitor performance against targets, taking proactive measures to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
- Compile comprehensive monthly sales reports, analysing performance, trends, and opportunities, and present them to the COO and CEO.
- Conduct thorough competitor analysis and market research to identify new business development opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Contribute to pricing strategies by leveraging market analysis to inform monthly pricelists and promotions.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and promotions that support sales objectives and maximize revenue.
- Calling on and actively selling our products via telephonic sales, email sales, Facebook marketplace, Whatsapp as well as engaging with customers in person when required.
- Grow the customer base across traditional, formal and informal channels by targeting and acquiring new customers.
- Identify new product lines and opportunities for diversification to increase revenue and meet market demands.
- Establish a clear operational structure for the internal sales team, defining responsibilities, goals and processes to ensure efficient sales operations.
- Compile customer proposals, reports, and quotations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the internal and external sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and providing coaching and guidance as needed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Perform other sales, procurement and administrative duties as directed by management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a sales management role within the tyre industry.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving revenue targets.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and evaluate market opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent knowledge of the tyre industry, market trends, and competition.
- Ability to travel nationally.
- A valid driver's license.
