For those of you attending for the first time this year, TOP TIPS FOR GETTING HERE 🚛
The postcode is NE461UB and you are aiming for Linnel Wood - NOT The Linnels and not The Linnels Farm.
However, BEWARE the Linnels Bridge, a small humpback bridge on the route from Hexham - fine for cars but impossible for lorries and tricky for trailers if you don’t know it ⛔️
As such, if you are coming from the A69, instead of turning off at Hexham, head to Corbridge and from there re-enter the postcode to the sat nav.
You should cross the River Tyne (bridge only takes 7.5 tonnes - if you’re heavier go via A68 and Riding Mill), then follow the B6307 south towards Blanchland and Slaley, before turning left on the B6306. Linnel Wood is approximately a mile after this turning on the right hand side - just after trees appear on both sides of the road, sharp turn through stone gate posts.
The event will be signed as you get closer, but a couple of maps are posted below too.
Please do give yourself adequate time to park up, please listen to advice from the people parking you up and please be patient as we try and get everyone in and out of the field - our lovely longstanding volunteer Ian really does not want to have to spend the morning in the tractor towing people in and out ❌🚜❌
Final request: Pray for sunshine please!!☀️
