“We had a brilliant time at our Big Lunch! It was great to see different members of the community coming together to share stories, enjoy the space and make new connections. Everyone’s asking when the next one is going to be!”

Diolch - huge thanks to Tyfu Prestatyn C.I.C for sharing these fantastic photos of their Big Lunch and Have a Grow event at The Community EcoGarden in collaboration with Prestatyn High School. Painting pots, making origami frogs, welcoming new volunteers and sharing food, what a fun and fantastic Big Lunch event. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for the next one!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Dros 100 o ddigwyddiadau yng Nghymru! 🙌 Over 100 Big Lunch and Big Help Out events have been added to our map of Wales with more popping up every day!

Tens of thousands of people in all corners of Wales will be taking part in and from the 5-8 of June. Check out our map to see what public events you can find in your area. Don’t let the weather hold you back from doing something positive in your community this weekend.

🙌 It’s volunteer’s week and it’s the perfect time to organise a Big Lunch or Big Help Out to boost your Welsh community. Communities across Wales are hosting Big Lunches and Big Help Outs from the 5-8 of June, and it’s not too late for your community to take part.

Here’s some simple ideas

✅ Litter picking followed by coffee and cake
✅ Volunteer at a local charity
✅ Host a picnic at the local park
✅ Invite your neighbours to make a dish to share
✅ Paint stones with kind messages and share them around your community to make everyone smile…

There’s many more ideas on our website and check out our map to see what else is happening in your area. Whatever you do, don’t forget to tag us as you share your photos!

The Eden Project communities network holds spaces for community minded people to get together to support one other in making good things happen wherever we are in the UK.

Join us for this monthly online meet up with like-minded community do-ers, projects, groups or organisations and we will be discussing all June Month of Community

The Big Lunch and The Big Help Out are 5-8 June and many have plans to take part through out the month and beyond. This session will provide opportunities to share your own activity discuss your purpose and where useful seek hive mind ideas.

The Big Lunch has teamed up with The Big Help Out and we're inviting everyone in Wales to do something positive for your community between the 5 - 8 of June.

From litter picking to sharing food with a neighbour to volunteering to hosting a community lunch...there's so many ways you can take part, and it's simple! What will you do? Let us know and don't forget to add it to our Big Lunch Map on our website too, map link below!
