The 4th Limestone City Squash Classic ended this afternoon. 120+ matches over the three days.
Lots of food and such an amazing group, on the court and off the court.
The tournament is a labor of love and such a good group is truly motivation to do it again.
Next year the tournament would be in March most likely as Easter moves, so does our date - I try to line it up with the Ontario Junior Open.
As soon as I know I will post it here.
While it might sound silly to some, it has been such a difficult weekend as our cat Bowie has been very very sick in the Vet version of an ICU since Tuesday.
He is a huge part of our family and it has been very hard to want to be in public given the duress poor Bowie is enduring as they try to figure out what is wrong with him.
That is why Kristin was unable to play as she was visiting him at the Emergency Vet in Ottawa.
This explains some of my absentmindedness. My apologies.
A big thank you to Kristin for her contribution.
A big thank you to Brian Mills and Eye Rackets.
A big thank you to Larry at Racquet-Science for the gift cards.
And to all those helped referee, especially on Saturday when time was tight, I noticed you. You made it work, we finished perfectly on time, when we absolutely had to.
Kudos to the players that stepped up, no whining about refereeing and just getting it done.
You all contributed to making the tournament work.
I will post some photos here, when I get a chance. If you have tournament photos to share, send them.
Thanks again everyone. You make squash tournaments fun and prove that squash culture is the best.
