The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy became an instant classic on its launch as a radio series. in 2012 Douglas Adams's immortal creation was turned into a stage production with a live radio show format, packed with laughter, really wild sound effects and drinks with extremely silly names. Led by Simon Jones as Arthur Dent, members of the legendary Radio and TV casts were re-united for these live

performances, bringing to life the characters written for them in highlights from the entire Hitchhiker's Saga. They were joined on stage by a VIP Guest Voice Of The Book and supporting actors from Hitchhiker's in all its phases. Directed by Dirk Maggs, Douglas Adams's choice to conclude the narrative in its original medium, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show ... Live! introduced newcomers of all ages to Vogons, Babel Fish, Marvin the Paranoid Android and allowed them to explore the unique and hilarious Whole General Mish Mash According To Douglas Adams. Hitchhiker's Live was brought "home" to BBC Radio 4 in a special one-off live broadcast from the BBC Radio Theatre on the morning of Saturday 29th March 2014.
