Busking Cancer has been established as a fund raising event for Cancer Research UK (registered charity No. 1089464). Busking Cancer is a voluntary event in aid of Cancer Resear
ch that was established in 2007. The idea was that buskers go out, organise a busk or an event and raise money for a great cause, whilst having a load of fun. Busking Cancer UK has been set up by Chris Dumoulin on behalf of Cancer Research UK. The day will consist of live music from some of the UK's finest talent, and an Under 9's football tournament which is being run by Harlow Town Football Club. Below is a list of frequently asked questions and the answers to them, but if you have any others please get in touch by tweeting . Is there a requirement for ID at the event or an age limit to enter the event? No ID is required to enter the event, but will be required to purchase alcohol at the bar. What time does the event start? Doors open at 10:30am, with the first act on stage at 11am. Please note, the time schedule for the line up will be announced closer to the date of the event due to the possibility of last minute cancellations. What are the chances of meeting the acts? If you do manage to get a photo taken with your favourite act, please feel free to tag us so that we can share this on our social media pages. Is it a seated event? There is a seating area, which is on a first come first served basis. There will also be an area for wheelchair users. How do I get to the venue? The Harlow Arena is situated on the western side of town just off of the Roydon Road (A1169) on the Pinnacles Industrial Estate. By Car: If coming into Harlow from the M11 (North or South) exit at Junction 7 roundabout and follow the A414 until the first set of traffic Lights where you filter off to the left onto the A1169. Follow the A1169 signed for Roydon over several mini roundabouts, until you get to a large grassed roundabout where you turn right (2nd Exit) continue straight down the road until you meet another roundabout where you turn left (2nd Exit) keep going until you reach the GSK roundabout where you turn right, then keep going straight until you see the Harlow Arena ahead of you at the Roydon Road roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout and the entrance to the Harlow Arena is on the left. If coming into town from the west on the A414 turn right at the first roundabout (the old ground was straight ahead) signed Roydon A1169. Follow the A1169 for approx 1 mile and the entrance to the Harlow Arena is on the right. By train: Come out of Harlow Town Station and walk to the right up to the roundabout. Cross over the A414 and walk along the A1169 passing the rugby and cricket grounds before coming to the Harlow Arena on the right hand side. The station is approx 1.2 miles from the ground. The town has plenty of taxi services from both the rail station and bus terminal at the town centre. The Harlow Arena is approximately 1.5 miles from the town centre. There is no bus service to the Harlow Arena. Is there anything that cannot be brought into the venue? No food or drink is permitted into the venue. Food & drinks can be purchased at the bar.
