Sunday, September 3rd at Maple Grove Rugby Park. 2 divisions; Industry Dodgeball Division (Restaurants and Bars) or Rec Division (everyone else!) Six Industry teams gathered their clans to compete for the Bragg’n Rights Cup at Crescent Drive Park. With 10 years of competitions the event has drawn 80 different teams from Winnipeg’s Hospitality Industry to compete. This year's tournament will be capped at 30 Industry teams. Who will raise the Cup this summer and represent the IDC Division in the Throwdown Tournament Finals ‘Clash of the Champions’? Currently the Bragg’n Rights Cup is held by 2016 Champions Joey Kenaston, who will return this year to defend their title. Competition Details
- The 2017 Battle grounds are located at Maple Grove Rugby Park.
- The Battle starts at 11:00am on Sunday, September 17th, 2017.
- Team sign in and camp set up will begin at 10:00 am. All participants must be onsite by 10:30 am.
- Each team is Guaranteed 4 matches. Each match will be decided by the most game victories in 15 min. 10 players are required to begin each game (at least 4 opposite sex.) Each team is allowed a maximum of 20 competitors. (15 is recommended)
- All games are run under King’s Court rules, supervised by at least 2 referees.
- Champions announced at 6:30pm, Awards ceremony and after party at 7:30pm (Entertainment TBA)
- $400 early bird registration ends August 20 (full amount must be paid to receive early bird price)
- Team entry fee is $500.00, (15 players @ $34.00). Team entry must be paid in full no later than Wednesday, August 30th. A deposit of $200.00 will be accepted to secure your team spot.
- Champions of the IDC Division will compete with the Champions of the Rec Division for the crown as Throwdown Tournament Champions. PRIZES
Champions (each division) - Team/staff party, Free entry for next year and the Bragg’n Rights Cup. Team Spirit Award for best team uniforms, team camp, Cheers, Smiles and sportsmanship will win a team/staff party. Men’s and Women’s MVP selected from each division. Throwdown!
