Thanks again for everyone that played! As promised, we have donated 15% of the pot to the Hurricane Maria Relief Fund. I decided to put this towards the water project (checked the box that ensured it went directly to Puerto Rico) because even the most basic infrastructure has still yet to be repaired in Puerto Rico. I also wanted to find a charity with a high level of integrity and that passes the largest amount of donations along to the final destination as possible (lowest overhead). Posted below are some photos describing the charity and I welcome you to please do your own research to see where the money went. The charity is identifiable via its EIN number listed on one of the photos :)

All payments are in and we have $690 in the pot! 15% of the proceeds will go to support the Hurricane Maria Relief Fund. Payouts are as follows:

1st place: $425 (-15% or $63.75) = $361.25
2nd place:$175 (-15% or $26.25) = $148.75
3rd place: $80 (-15% or $12) = $68
Last Place:$10 (-15% or $1.50) = $8.50

$103.50 will be donated! Thanks for playing this year and look out for the Vanderbilt March Madness Charity Bracket next year!

Welcome to the Vanderbilt March Madness Charity Bracket Challenge!!

Here are a brief overview of the instructions to get started:

1. Each bracket made costs $10. You may make as many as you wish.

2. Use this link :https://tinyurl.com/y9jw8kzd
to get to our bracket group on ESPN. Sign in or make an account if necessary (takes ~30 seconds when signing in with Facebook)

3. Make your bracket and send a Venmo to for $10 with the caption as the name you gave your bracket. ALL PAYMENTS DUE BY MARCH 13th before the first game.

4. Once we get in all payments, we will have a vote in this Facebook group about the % we will give to charity, the amounts that will go to each placed winner, and the charity that we are going to support.

Other than that, good luck! Please try to invite as many people as possible as we look to achieve our goal of growing our pot to $1,500+ this year! If you have any questions, please check out the "About" page on this group or feel free to text me at the cell number associated with the page!
