RACE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Race Pack Collection. Sat 7th Jan 11am to 5pm at Adventure Sport Gear Shop (Henry Woo). Please bring I/C or passport. For those who don’t know it – 2nd Floor Karamunsing Komplex (next to the bank of lifts).

2. Race Start. 6am at Mari Mari Cultural Village on Jln Kiansom. Please be there on time, as the race will start on time!

3. Race Finish. Kiansom Waterfall. Only 500m from the start point. There are food stalls, toilets & showers there.

4. Parking. There is NO PARKING at Mari Mari. You can park on the roadside all the way up to the waterfall, but please DO NOT obstruct traffic. Please do not try to park in the coned-off area on the left side of the Kiansom Waterfall car park, as that will be reserved for the race finish.

5. Prizegiving. Will take place once 1st to 5th finishers in all categories have arrived.

6. Route & Elevation Chart. Both were included in my email circular to all runners dated 15/12.
Water Stations will be at Km 7.39 and at Km 14.35
There is a kedai runcit at Km 11.36 in Kg Tombongon
Total distance is 21.08 km
Route is NOT marked, but there will be a marshal or a signboard at every junction.

7. General.
We suggest you carry up to a litre of water yourself, in case the weather is hot.
Road shoes will be suitable. Most roads are kampung tarmac, with some vehicle tracks, and some concrete.
Cut off time will be 4½ hours.
There will be a sweeper bringing up the rear of the runners, in case of difficulty.

9. Traffic. There will be very limited traffic on these roads during the times of the race. However, we ask runners to remain at all times on the left side of the road for the sake of safety, and not to inconvenience the rare vehicles which may be on the roads.
