The choreography was created and taught by , and judging by those smiles... we think they had a pretty good time learning it! 😉

And the Solo Track is back this year, with an incredible team of teachers ready to bring their own ideas, knowledge, and inspiration to the classroom.

Different dancers. Different voices. One very good final.

A glimpse back at last year's Open Solo Finals, where every dancer brought something unmistakably their own to the floor.

That's what we love about solo blues: the individuality, the musicality, the choices, the personality. Give the same music to a room full of incredible dancers and you'll never get the same dance twice!

Open Solo is back for Blues After Hours 2026 and this time, you could be on that floor!

Challenge yourself, bring your own voice to the competition, and have some fun with it!

How much of you shows up when you dance?

Blues gives us space for much more than movement. It can be a place to explore our individuality, play with different parts of ourselves, and choose how we want to express them in the moment.

In Persona & Personal Authenticity, Julie Brown will explore this idea through Blues, while drawing on context, stories, and inspiration from other Black American dances such as Vogue and Krump.

Come ready to move, explore, and perhaps discover something new about the dancer you already are.

What folk dances come from where you call home?

This Masterclass isn't just about learning from Jamica, you'll also get to bring something of your own to the room!

After exploring some key elements of Blues dance, Jamica will invite participants to share folk dances from their own cultures, look for connections, and experiment together with adapting those movements to Blues music.

It's a chance to learn, share, get curious about different traditions, and see familiar movement through a completely different lens.

Ever wondered what makes a DJ set really work?

There's the music you choose, of course, but there's also the room in front of you. Knowing when to build the energy, when to let it breathe, what dancers are responding to, and where to take them next.

Dan has years of experience behind the decks, and on Friday he'll be sharing the core skills that help turn a collection of great songs into a great night of dancing.

Leveling Up Core DJ Skills is open both to newer DJs looking for solid foundations and experienced DJs ready to sharpen what they already know.

Meet Bibi!

With over 25 years of dancing and more than 18 years of teaching, Bibi has travelled across Europe, the USA, and Asia, sharing her passion for blues dance while helping grow communities and inspiring dancers wherever she goes.

Bibi's teaching is deeply rooted in a love and respect for the history and cultural heritage of African American blues. She encourages dancers to explore creativity, freedom of expression, and meaningful connection with both the music and their partner.

Bibi has been part of the Blues After Hours family for many years now, and having her back in Athens always feels a little like coming home. 💙

At Blues After Hours 2026, Bibi will be teaching both partnered and solo classes.

One stage. One incredible team.

One of our favorite traditions at Blues After Hours is the teachers' presentation... and last year, there were so many incredible teachers that they practically filled the entire stage!

It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend, by meeting the people who would inspire us, challenge us, and, of course, share plenty of laughs both in and out of class.

And this year? Let's just say... the stage won't be looking any emptier. 😉

One of our goals at Blues After Hours is to help the European blues scene continue to grow by supporting the next generation of teachers.

Every year, we invite dancers whose work genuinely inspires us: people with fresh ideas, thoughtful approaches, and a passion for sharing what they love. We believe in creating opportunities for talented dancers to take the next step, and we're excited to introduce this year's themed class teachers:

✨ Dongsheng Yuan
Blending music, history, and movement, Dongsheng brings a thoughtful, engaging, and often humorous approach to blues, always keeping its cultural roots at the heart of his teaching.

✨ Víctor & Mora
For Víctor and Mora, the best blues dances are genuine conversations. Their classes celebrate connection, musicality, curiosity, and the joy of discovering together.

✨ Veselina (Vesi) Daneva
With a background in ballet and years of teaching experience, Vesi combines strong technique, musicality, body awareness, and personal expression to help dancers grow with confidence.

We're incredibly happy to welcome them to the Blues After Hours family and can't wait for you to experience their classes this October. 💙
