South Summit 2022: I sometimes forget how fun it is to attend events that I am not managing! 😅
And the .summit in Madrid this week was such an inspiring one that I thought to share some thinking points:
- Innovation is Business - the theme of South Summit. Love it because you've got to keep up with the time to be successful. Too many companies don't stay innovative and hence slowly disappear of the surface.
- There's no end to deco possibilities these days! Look at these creative and fun decoration elements.
- Great to see how events can look and feel differently in different sectors! Lots of inspo :)
- Bottomless goodie bags seem to be going out of trend, instead we had cool water bottles and refill stations everywhere ... Hello sustainability! (check out the small print on the badge, saying you can plant the badge)
- It's a good exercise to let go of your hypercritical and "we could do this better" attitude and attend events keeping an open mind, empathising with the organisation and taking note of the challenges to try and avoid them for your upcoming event.
- Last but not least... take a friend or colleague, it's so much more fun!

Can you even work as an event planner if you are not into lists? 😅

I'm telling you, I LOVE making lists, as a naturally organized person they make me feel that I have everything under control. And obviously, I also have my list of list-maker tools and planners that help me stay on top of my wild multitasking habits, here they go:

Trello: for visual lists and collaboration
Plannthat: for social media content planning
Canva: for visuals and quick designs
Toggl: to keep track of what I spend time on.. and well who doesn't love a good old Excel sheet?

The exotic landscapes and breathtaking skylines are a true added value to any event but what really makes the difference is the whole range of people and cultures that you get to meet and collaborate with.
Every work trip makes you more open-minded, creative, and flexible... and it makes you so excited for the next trip..which is only a few weeks away! ✈

Jw solutions is 1 year old! 🥳
Time flies and so many things happened since the day I decided to start my own business as an event manager. 🤩
A big thank you to all the friends that have been by my side since day 1, the clients that trusted me with their projects and the partners I met on the journey. I couldn't do without you 🙏
It has been a blast so far and I’m very excited to see this business growing and developing, curious what the next years will bring!
