👑 Queen Eden’s Visiting Royalty Breakfast 🇨🇿🇸🇰

One of the special moments of this year’s Oklahoma Czech Festival was the Visiting Royalty Breakfast, organized by Oklahoma Czech-Slovak Queen Eden at St. John Nepomuk church on festival morning!

Eden, alongside her family, planned, organized, and hosted this special gathering for visiting royalty and pageant contestants, with the sponsorship of Oklahoma Czechs Inc.
Throughout her reign, Eden has consistently demonstrated initiative, creativity, and a genuine passion for community involvement.

Time and time again, she has brought innovative ideas to life, turning her vision into meaningful experiences that bring people together and celebrate our Czech-Slovak heritage.

The Visiting Royalty Breakfast was another wonderful example of Eden’s dedication and leadership. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished during her reign and the lasting impact she has made on our royalty program.

Watching Eden pass down her crown has been bittersweet, but we know this is only the beginning of what lies ahead for her. We cannot wait to see what she dreams up next!

Thank you, Eden and the entire Tlapak-Simmons family, for your time, hard work, and continued dedication to our Czech-Slovak community. ❤️

Once a queen, always a part of our royal family! 👑🇨🇿🇸🇰

🇸🇰🎶 A Special Thank You to Kristína Spišiaková!

We were honored to welcome Kristína Spišiaková to the 2026 Oklahoma Czech Festival, where she shared the beautiful and distinctive sounds of the traditional Slovak fujara!

Originally from the small village of Turíčky in Slovakia’s Novohrad region, Kristína is currently studying astrophysics at the University of Oklahoma.

The fujara is a traditional Slovak shepherd’s flute, known for its deep, haunting sound and its special place in Slovak cultural heritage. Its music is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Kristína’s instrument is especially meaningful—it was handcrafted by a respected Slovak instrument maker and childhood neighbor, Tibor Kobliček, and was the last fujara he made before his passing.

❤️ Thank you, Kristína, for sharing your remarkable talent, your heritage, and a beautiful piece of Slovak tradition with us at this year’s festival!

🎶 Take a look at these special moments from the festival and listen to Kristína’s wonderful performance in the video below!
