Kinusaiga is a modern Japanese “no-sew” quilting technique where fabric scraps are tucked into grooves on a flat board to create textured, quilted images without thread. Developed in the 1980s by Maeno Takashi as a way to recycle kimono fabric, it uses foam board instead of traditional wood to create intricate, sustainable, and artistic scenes. Such a great way to use my fabric scrap stash. Who wants to try it?

The first night I spent in my Habitat for Humanity house was one of the happiest and scariest nights of my life. 9 years later and it’s still one of the best things that ever happened to me. I wish all these families the same!

Habitat for humanity’s biannual magazine came this week. I had to make ACEO cards of the homeowners. 9 years later and I still remember the feeling of getting my habitat house like it was yesterday. Still one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.

Who’s made ACEO cards? “Art Cards, Editions, & Originals” are 2.5x3.5 inches, just like other trading cards. Such a great way to collect original art!
