Hey everyone. Just wanted a send a reminder about a few things leading up to this weekend and share some information to frequently asked questions:
PLEASE be respectful to the city and resident’s property. Wordi Gras is not about littering or vandalism. It’s much better than that. For parking areas see the map on the page for details.
LIVE MUSIC
The Rustic: KaPow Band STL playing from 11am-3pm, Salmon Creek from 4pm to 8pm, Clueless 4-8pm
Yellow Dog: Down & Dirty playing from 12pm til 4pm, Scott & Mechelle 4-6pm and Cheers Band from 6pm til 10pm.
The American Legion will have Dustin Coleman playing from Noon til 3pm and Wh***ey River playing from 4pm til 8pm.
Street Vendors will be out and about.
Please remember that this is a Redneck Mardi Gras… so that means it’s a cash only event. There are ATM’s in the bar but we recommend avoiding the lines and bringing cash. If you don’t have cash alternate forms of payment including goats, cows, or horses may be accepted, however this is highly dependent on market conditions, so cash is recommended. And gents we don't think you can trade your wife or girlfriend for a b**r either but may worth a shot.
Please do not bring any outside b**r/liquor.
For those entering floats in the parade please plan on lining up by no later than 2:00pm. Lineup is first come first serve. If you have any questions prior to Saturday send us a message.
Please remember this is a family friendly event so please act accordingly during the parade. Ensure that the kiddos get WAY more candy than their parents would like. Please no alcohol being thrown from your floats. Feel free to throw beads, koozies, or pretty much anything else you’d want. Just no booze. The celebration will become more of an adult theme once the parade is over.
If you have 4-wheelers or motorcycles please do not peel out or pop wheelies. Also, if you are bringing animals, especially mules or horses, please be sure they are not easily spooked as the crowd is basically right on top of them.
Most of all just have fun and see you Saturday.
