We hope you are doing well! We are reaching out to invite passionate speakers, veterans, historians, military advocates, and patriotic organizations to participate in a very special Women Veterans Day event on Thursday, June 12, at The Wellington at Lake Manassas in Gainesville, Virginia.
On this important day, we commemorate a landmark moment in American history — the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act by President Harry S. Truman in 1948. This groundbreaking legislation granted women the right to serve as permanent members of the United States Armed Forces, forever changing the face of our military and our nation.
We are seeking engaging speakers who can help honor and celebrate:
• Women veterans and their service
• Military history and patriotic themes
• Stories of courage, leadership, and sacrifice
• The lasting legacy of women in uniform
• Inspiration for future generations
This event is an opportunity to connect with residents, veterans, families, and the community while recognizing the incredible contributions women have made to our country through military service.
