We have 4 confirmed riders. It is a Go!

If you are still interested, join us and let's ride to Key West! Couple of on-going changes in the route and logistics/operation of the ride.

- Ride will take a eastern route because of safety around US27;
- We will ride as a group, so that support cars can provide better safety and RV can prepare/operate Time Stations.

After yesterday route recon, we will do some changes to the route. US27 south of lake Okeechobee is not safe to ride at the moment. To much traffic and road conditions are not up to par.

Event Information Series :: Ride Route

Our plan is to ride from Winter Garden to Key West, taking roads that are less busy but we know that this would be impossible, so here is the preliminary route:

Starting South from Winter Garden, heading east around St. Cloud, over the east side of Lake Okeechobee, riding west of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and finally south to the Keys.

Some of us will be driving the route this weekend on our way down to an Open Water race at Islamorada, so we will have a good idea of road conditions.

Event Information Series - What is Key Lime Pie Ride?

Key Lime Pie Ride is an ultra cycling training ride from Orlando, FL to Key West, FL, with a pre-defined route and time-stations along the route. The route will have around 400 miles. The plan is to finish it under 48 hrs.

This is NOT A RACE. This is not an event associated with any bike shop or group. It is not mandatory to do all 400 miles. If you want to join us just for part of it, great!

The organizers are a group of riders who are training for RAAM.

This is a great opportunity to experience an ultra cycling ride if you want to do RAAM, RAW, RAE, FL500, etc in the future.

Important Notes:
This in not a bike race;
This is an opportunity for those who want to experience a small taste of ultra cycling;
This is a training ride for athletes who will participate in RAAM;
There will be Timing Stations (TS) along the route, to make sure all riders are accounted for;
Riders are encouraged to follow directions from the organization;
There will be a Support Crew with at least one car;
All riders will share the operational cost of the ride (car rentals, gasoline, water, nutrition, others), just as expected in a RAAM project;
Riders are encouraged to complete the ride, but not required to;
There will be no medals, nor finish lines, just sore legs at the end;
