In December of 2010, I (Terry Snyder) founded Operation North State (ONS) an all-volunteer military support services organization which I currently chair and serve as a proud volunteer. For more information, visit Facebook: Operation North State. ONS utilizes North Carolina's People, Places, Products and Pride to show support for NC's deployed troops and veterans-in-needs. A model that can be utilized by any state in the country. ONS' NCCARES Christmas Box Project, Top Shelf Fishin' Festivals and Peer Fishin' Festival have been most successful - made possible by generous support from North Carolinians (individuals, corporations, small businesses, fellow military support orgs, clubs, groups, etc.). Collectively, we have made a difference! I've been honored to assist veterans over the past years in locating services and individuals that could provide assistance to their issues and/or improve their quality of life. I quickly realized that information was available to assist, but - some good - some bad - some dated - some too self-servicing for the owner of the website and not the veterans in need. Back in 2008, I developed a successful "Mega Directory" NCInfoPlus - which provided over 11,000 quality websites related to North Carolina. Operation VSources utilizes the same directory/subdirectory concept. Our staff will be adding new data daily, cleaning up dead-links and requesting our viewers to provide us their favorite veterans-related websites. We will maintain an active page too.
