We had over 50 people come out on a Monday night last night to celebrate the United Nationsā€™ International Peace Day! The speakers were poignant, the music was uniting. Thank you all for a wonderful hour of celebrating peace. More photos to come. ā˜®ļø

One more event for 2026 and then weā€™re taking a break to reflect, brainstorm, and plan. Come join us with the Grandmothers for Peace for the annual Peace Day in the Park celebration of International Peace Day, designated by the United Nations in 1981. Wilmington has been celebrating with Lynn Heritage at the helm since 2007. Itā€™s going to be a lovely hour(ish) of peaceful celebration! Kid and pet friendly! Come see what weā€™ve got to share with you this year at Long Leaf Park shelter 6 at 6pm tomorrow, Monday, September 21. ā˜®ļø
