Dear bowlers, We regret to inform you that our Mid West Bowl Fest Team has made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming events.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, Village of Weston, Motiv Bowling, Wausau Area USBC, and QubicaAMF, for their unwavering support. Their contributions have been vital to this event.

To everyone who attended the past two years and anticipated this one, your enthusiasm couldn’t be appreciated more. Thank you so much for your support and for signing up again this year. Fees will be refunded in full.

Sincerely,
Sarah Elliott

In 2023 Dawson Kohl found himself in Mid West Bowl Fest championship match against his friend Rush Steen. Rush won.

In 2024 Dawson returned a year older and looking to claim what he nearly had a year earlier, a Mid West Bowl Fest title. He was the only U15 boy that averaged over 200 on Saturday while dealing with the challenging pattern that we had put out for the kids this year. With the lead heading into the Sunday morning cashers round he simply needed to keep everyone at bay and he would claim the No. 1 seed and only bowl on game for the U15 title. He rolled a shift-high 589 series to maintain his lead and waited for the step-ladder winners to come to him.

In the finals Ian Kloss bested his Storm Doubles partner Marshall Olson 206-180. Ian toughed out a busted up finger and was able to grind his way into a semi-final match against a local star in Hayden Grezenski. Hayden proved to be a little too much for Ian and his injury. Hayden cruised to a 209-179 victory. In the finals Dawson bowled a solid game to force Hayden to double to win and it wasn't meant to be just yet for Hayden. Dawson won the title match 194-179 over Hayden

Dawson won his title this year and can bring that confidence with him as he moves up to the U18 division next year. We are sure he will be wreaking havoc in all his events. Congratulations Dawson on a well earned title. Can we suggest you parents get you a really good pair of dark sunglasses this Christmas? Your future is VERY bright and you'll need em. You can thank us later.

Holly Orgeman does it two years in a row!! Last year Holly won the U15 Title and came back to the Mid West Bowl Fest to compete in the U18 division. You'd think that would maybe intimidate a kid. Not Holly. She has a tournament resume longer that Kareem's "Sky Hook" arm. (If you know that reference, you are probably sore when you wake up.)

Much like Rush Steen's Saturday qualifying; Holly under-performed by their own standards. She averaged 181.8 to put herself in 4th heading into Sunday's cashers round. She used her experience and grit to come back with a 605 set on Sunday, 2nd only to Madelyn Schiekiera's blistering 641 set. The two girls tied for 1st overall. We ran a 9th and 10th frame roll-off to determine our top seed. Holly won that and would wait to see who her championship match opponent would be. Ainslee McConaughy won her 1st two matches in the step-ladder finals with 181-175 victory over Aliva Baskin and a 236-166 win over 2nd seeded Madelyn Schiekiera. The final match was tight until Holly finished of the game with a run of strikes securing her 2nd Bowl Fest title in as many years.

We may be biased, but she's one of our local talents and we are very proud to congratulate her on an impressive accomplishment. We wish you many more to come Holly!! You have made us all proud. Keep up the good work.
