June is one of the absolute best times of the season to target trophy striped bass here in Long Island Sound. We are seeing big migratory fish pushing through, and they are feeding aggressively on both artificials and live bunker.

Whether you love casting topwater and soft plastics or watching a giant bass crush a live bunker, now is the time to get on the water.

A quality springtime striper that absolutely crushed the HeroZ rigged on a 10/0, 1/2-ounce Chinlock SWS hook. This setup has been producing some quality fish and is a great option when targeting larger stripers in shallow water.

This fish was released with tag to help contribute valuable data for future research.
