Wow – what an awesome Weavestock we had! Thank you so much for being part of the biggest Weavestock ever. We truly appreciate your attendance and generosity. We enjoyed some incredible talent from soothing harmonies to powerful melodies that gave us goose bumps. There were thumping bass riffs, walls of percussion and some unforgettable lead guitar. We heard first timers and guest vocalists getting into the groove, talented solo acts connecting with their audience on our acoustic stage and amazing bands exciting all of our senses on our main stage. Musicians traveled from as far as Canada to play and guests came from Florida, Maine, Boston, Detroit and even Armenia!
Not only did the party exceed our expectations musically but we also exceeded our goal for Stop Hunger Now. Thanks to your generosity, we will be making a donation to Stop Hunger Now that will be over $1,200 later this week. You all are truly wonderful.
Isn’t it amazing what music can do? We re-connected with old friends, made new friends, forgot about life’s challenges for a few hours and gave back to people less fortunate than us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We also want to specifically highlight a few more thank yous.
- Thank you to the 35 musicians that performed for us – many of whom practiced and prepared special sets just for this event
- Thank you to Terry Heyman (our Emcee) for keeping us smiling and the event flowing
- Thank you to Tim Godek who is a talented musician in his own right but gave up his stage time to run the sound board and make us all sound as good as possible.
- Thank you to our family and friends that helped us set up and clean up the Weavestock Fairgrounds
- And thank YOU, the 162 attendees for having fun the Weavestock way – with peace, love and generosity
Again, thank you for making this an awesome event. Although soon our property will be back to normal, we will cherish the memories and music of Weavestock 2013 for many years to come. We will be posting pictures soon. If you have some to share, please send them our way.
Peace,
Cate and Eric
