Race eve is here! It's not too late to join us at Blue Springs tomorrow!

⏰Online registration is closed, but race day registration will be available.

🚫🚙There is NO parking at the trailhead. The shuttle will run from St Mary’s Church in Palmyra. The first shuttle will leave the church at 6:50am.

‼️ This is one of our more technical courses with lots of rocks and roots. Plan to start early and allow yourself plenty of time. You must be off the course by noon. The last shuttle leaves the trailhead at noon.

👚 🧢 We're bringing some merch! We have limited sizes of Boco hats, tees and long sleeve shirts as well as insulated water bottles.
🚽 Reminder: there is a portable toilet at the trailhead as well as mile 1/12.7ish ('s Campground) of the long course and 1/5.5ish of the mid-course

💦 There is one cup less aid station on the long course at approximately mile 5 and then you’ll pass it again at mile 9 on your way back. It will have water, Heed and snacks.

🦟 Bring bug spray! The mosquitos were out - they are worse on the short course today and the first few miles of the mid/long course

🚌 Since we are utilizing a shuttle, we will have a tarp available for you to utilize as a gear drop. Please make sure you secure and label anything that you plan to leave here.

Race week is here! Join us at Blue Springs this weekend!

📣 Race week is here!

⏰Online registration closes Thursday at midnight, but race day registration will be available. Please plan to bring cash if possible as the internet is spotty at the trailhead.

🚗Parking: There is no parking at the trailhead, we are using a shuttle for this race. Please check the athlete guide or posts from earlier this week for info.

👕 We'll have hoodies, tees, hats and more for sale on race day.

🎼Live music by Kevin Wypiszynski Music from 8:30am to 10am.

Happy Sunday!

Thank you all for an amazing weekend - you crushed those hills and did it with smiles on your faces! We had perfect weather to kick off the 2026 series. Thanks for your continued support of Golden Kettle Trail Series!

🏆Results have been posted for McMiller! You can find them here: https://www.goldenkettletrailseries.com/results. Just a reminder - medals are given for 1st-3rd place male and female for the short, mid and long courses and 1st place male & female for the Golden Gauntlet. Medals can be picked up a future race this season. While you're checking results, please check last year to see if you have an award to pick up. :)

Lastly, we want to sincerely apologize for the course‑marking error that occurred during yesterday’s race. A few short and mid-course runners were unintentionally directed onto the wrong loop, and we understand how frustrating that was after all the time and effort you put into preparing. As soon as our team became aware of the issue, we corrected the markings to ensure the remainder of the event stayed on course.

We take full responsibility for this mistake and will ensure it won't happen again. Thank you for your patience, your sportsmanship, and your continued support of the Golden Kettle Trail Series. We appreciate you, and we’re committed to doing better.

1) Course updates:
- WI DNR has done quite a bit of clearing after the recent storms but this still a couple of small, downed trees and many branches on the course. Please be sure you know which flags and trail loop you are following.

-A couple of critter holes on the course have been marked by flags - please be cautious when you see them.

2) There is a gun range nearby, so you will likely hear gunshots.

3) Please know which flags you are following! There are flags roughly every 1/4 to 1/3 mile and at every intersection. There is a tricky spot at mile 4ish and again at mile 5ish on long course. Remember, trail miles are "ish", your watch will likely be off 1/4 mile or so.

Short Course - 3.1 Miles | red flags
Mid Course - 4.97 Miles | green flags
Long Course - 11.86 Miles | blue flags

Short Course - one green loop
Mid Course - one purple loop
Long Course - one blue loop + one purple loop

**All courses start together. The short course splits off at MC5 (around mile 1.5). Watch the flags here! The mid-course splits off at MC6 (around mile 3). We've also placed a small sign at the mid/long course split - this intersection is the mid-course split AND the 2nd loop of the long course.
