Since 2012, the ONLY place in the United States to celebrate Bill of Rights Day, December 15th, with continuous Community Bell Ringing for as many seconds as the Bill of Rights has been in force! On December 15th, 2013, the public is invited to ring bells outside anywhere in historic Hillsborough, NC for 222 seconds @ 2:00PM (three minutes and 42 seconds) to celebrate the 222nd anniversary of when

the first ten amendments to the U.S. It’s profound. No speeches. No fireworks. Just the sound of bells, large and small, in the hands of young and old. Join us in Hillsborough or across the nation & around the world for the 2nd annual Community Bell Ringing at 2pm for 222 seconds on Bill of Rights Day, December 15th, 2013! "Let Freedom Ring!"
