The Covid-19 pandemic has forced all of us to change the way we approach everyday life and once in a lifetime moments. As an officiant and priest, I work very closely with vendor teams to adhere to new guidelines and rules for these occasions. More importantly, I work with couples and families to reevaluate what truly is important to them. I want to make sure your ceremony reflects what you value given the amount of trade-offs and decisions we are all faced with today.

There are so many intricate and meaningful steps in a Hindu wedding ceremony - many before the bride and groom even see one another! Here I am guiding the bride's family to welcome the groom and his family with a kalash filled of water, a symbol of universal energy and life-driving force.

Pre-wedding ceremonies are just as important as the itself. Here, I am guiding a couple through the and , where we invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesh and the nine planets to remove all obstacles for the wedding (and beyond). I also incorporated some Jain pre-wedding traditions per the wishes of the family - making it a truly personalized experience for all.

Happy ! Do you know the significance of celebrating this holiday? The annual festival celebrating the triumph of good over evil in honor of Lord Vishnu is a 2 day celebration, starting around the time of the full moon that appears in 'Phalguna' (between February/March). It is said that the evil king Hiranyakashipu became so powerful that he forced his subjects to worship him as their god. However, his son Prahlada continued to pray to Lord Vishnu. The king then plotted with his sister, Holika, to kill Prahlada. Holika, thought to be immune to fire, tricked Prahlada to sit in a pyre with her. Prahlada's devotion to Lord Vishnu protected him, while Holika, from whom the festival derives its name, was burned to death. Holi starts with an evening of a fire being lit to symbolize the burning of evil, and is followed by a day of throwing colors (each with their own significance) to pay homage to the arrival of spring, the triump of good over evil.
