Guest Announcement: Athena Finger will be joining us at Tanoshii Con this August 22-23, 2026 at the Ocean Center.

Athena Finger is an artist, educator, and the "Heiress to the Dark Knight".
As the granddaughter of Batman co-creator Bill Finger, Athena spearheaded the historic legal campaign to secure her
grandfather’s rightful credit—a battle she won in 2015 after decades of family advocacy.

Today, she serves as the definitive historian of Batman’s origin, frequently appearing at major conventions and featured in the Hulu documentary Batman Bill.

Beyond her legacy work, Athena is a dedicated advocate for local art and arts education in schools. She continues to honor
her grandfather’s memory as a co-presenter of the Bill Finger Award at the annual Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards.

MATT KNOWLES: Writer / Musician / Content Creator / Emcee / Panel Host

As a musician, writer, and convention personality, Matt Knowles (aka ) has dipped his toes into many different creative pools over the years. He is no stranger to being in the public eye, having fronted metal bands, done sports announcing, and he's also a panel host / convention emcee.

He's one half of that has produced such comic titles as HEIRS OF ISILDUR, TATSUMI: THE SERPENT MISTRESS, MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE, I AM QIDO, and TALES FROM NOCTURNIA, plus multiple metal music albums that tie back into the printed offerings.
