Thanks to the Northspan group for hosting their annual entrepreneur’s pitch event at the theater again this year! It was really cool to hear about different start ups in our community and see the resources being put into them to help make them successful.

Between two winners, they gave away $7500 in prizes… amazing!

If any other nonprofit is looking to do an event at our theater, we want to help you bring it to life!

Lots of goodies sprinkled in for October! We are settling into the cozy vibes with a few Candlelight Yoga classes, we added Saturday mornings back now that our mornings are cooler, and our special Halloween Yoga event this year is a Witches Brew theme! A class fit for a witch, with a specialty tea and coffee bar, plus a tincture to take home.

So much to look forward to! As for this week, we have a guest instructor joining us on Saturday to share her adaptive yoga, which is a class built for anyone who wants to try yoga, but doesn’t know how or where to start, and might need a little extra modification & care while building their practice. We have chairs and are wheel chair accessible, and the instructor, Cherie Hotchkiss has a truly inspiring journey with yoga to share!

Also welcoming to The Maco stage this Friday… W***y and the Rangers! They will be keeping the music going between our three line dancing sets and after to keep the party going.

These beloved local faves need no introduction… but just in case! They’re a five-piece Iron Range band playing country in the h***y tonk tradition of Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard and more. Wild Bill Boyce on drums, Doc Mattson on bass, Ken Stevens on harmonica, Pat Hawkinson on lead, W***y Martin singing/ rhythm

Come for the line dancing, or just to watch the music and fun & get yourself a drink. See ya there!

A quick introduction to our instructor Grace that will be guiding us Friday night!

Grace grew up with a background in dancing ballet, but was introduced to line dancing through her agricultural sorority, where she initially decided that she hated country music. The music, however, began to grow on her, and shortly after college she was teaching herself how to line dance off of Youtube. She has taught line dancing in ballroom dance studios and breweries around Duluth and was featured in the Duluth News Tribune. She likes to run a high energy class where you'll wonder if you accidently stepped into a dance cardio workout.

When people are nervous to mess up on the dance floor, Grace likes to remind them that mistakes are welcomed and very essential to learning! Having fun (even if not all the steps are correct) and developing confidence is the ultimate goal!

P.S. Grace has over 30 dances in her catalog. And although we told her it's dealers choice which dances she wants to teach, we had to put in a request for Footloose 😋Let us know what dances you want to learn!

Are you making your Friday night plans? It’s going to be a great night downtown Virginia! The classic car cruise night is going on (car show on Saturday) & we’ll be having line dance instruction and live music in the theater from 8-11 pm. Come participate or watch and enjoy!

Make it a whole night and show our 400 block neighbors at The Arrowhead and Mel’s Sportspage some love for dinner and drinks!

Share with your friends for a fun night!
