FUDA USA Global Awards – Nomination Guidelines (2026)

Anyone can nominate, even if they are not a member of FUNAM. But you can only nominate individuals from Funam.
Please include in your nomination:
A 200–300-word statement explaining why the nominee deserves the award. Send to the email. [email protected]
Include the nominee’s email and WhatsApp contact number.
Supporting links, photos, or documents to demonstrate impact.
Eligibility:
Leadership & Development Award and Promotion of Culture & Education Award: Nominees must be from FUNAM and reside in the US, with a focus on advancing FUDA USA and FUDA Cameroon activities, mission, and impact.
Economic Development Award: Reserved for individuals or organizations in Cameroon making a meaningful economic impact.
🏅 Award Categories
1. Leadership & Development Award
Purpose:
Recognizes individuals or organizations whose leadership has significantly advanced FUDA USA’s mission, inspired community action, and created lasting development impact.
Nomination Criteria:
Visionary Leadership: Demonstrates strategic thinking, inspires others, and leads initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Impact on People & Programs: Influences FUDA programs, volunteers, or beneficiaries; mentors and builds collaborative teams.
Innovation & Problem-Solving: Applies creative or practical solutions to advance FUDA objectives with demonstrable results.
Sustained Contribution: At least one year of continuous involvement showing measurable impact.
2. Promotion of Culture & Education Award
Purpose:
Honors individuals or groups promoting Cameroonian culture, heritage, and education, strengthening identity, cultural pride, and learning opportunities.
Nomination Criteria:
Cultural Promotion & Preservation: Highlights Funam-Cameroonian traditions, language, arts, or heritage through festivals, exhibitions, storytelling, media, or projects.
Educational Impact: Expands educational access, literacy, learning tools, or mentorship; collaborates with schools, communities, or cultural platforms.
Community Engagement: Engages local, diaspora, and global communities to champion cultural and educational initiatives.
Measurable Achievements: Provide outcomes such as events held, number of beneficiaries, partnerships, or testimonials.
3. Economic Development Award (Reserved only for individuals from Funam Cameroon or organisations doing great work in Funam- Bome)
Purpose:
Recognizes individuals or organizations that improve economic opportunities through business growth, job creation, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, or advocacy.
Nomination Criteria:
Economic Impact: Evidence of creating or sustaining jobs, businesses, or training programs that strengthen livelihoods.
Innovation in Economic Development: Introduces scalable or new approaches to address economic challenges.
Community & Sector Engagement: Collaborates with stakeholders to maximize economic outcomes.
Documented Results: Provide tangible evidence such as narratives, metrics, photos, reports, or testimonials.
